We have created a unique resource at Rose Farm in west Cornwall for those who
wish an alternative choice. The location is a peaceful final resting place for
both pets and people in a tranquil corner of west Cornwall; it is one of
outstanding natural beauty, with a long history of human settlement dating back
at least to Iron Age times, and a strong spiritual and healing resonance.
In 1988 we established a pet cemetery and pet crematorium, for dogs, cats and
small animals; more recently they have opened a horse cemetery; and latest of
all a woodland burial or green burial ground for people, for DIY funeral or more
traditional ceremonies.
Penwith Pet Crematorium was a Major Sponsor of the Simmental Cattle classes at the Royal Cornwall Show 2013. The Animal in the photo is 'Cathedral Cookie Crumble' who was Reserve Breed Champion owned by James Berry.
In establishing all these facilities we have striven to provide a caring and
decent service to those who seek control and certainty over the final resting
place of themselves or their companion animals. They are committed animal lovers
themselves, and when their time comes they too will be buried on the site.
We are members of the following associations, both of which have strict codes of
practice:
The Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria
The Association for Nature Reserve Burial Grounds
When the sun sets on a life, be it human or animal, you do have a choice on what
happens to the mortal remains; make yours now and enjoy peace of mind. Choose
where and how you would like to be laid to rest, in a woodland burial, or choose
a fitting end for a faithful pet in the pet cemetery. You and your loved ones
will be treated with dignity, respect and sympathy.
Please see on the accompanying pages details of the services on offer at Rose
Farm, and feel free to contact Penny for further information, or just call for
an informal chat on 01736 731310. Penny is happy to help you through what can be
difficult and distressing times with advice, sympathy and tact.
